Bloke Rods have a small selection of whipping threads as shown in the images opposite. We have most colours to suite the range of blanks we stock.
Shades are selected from the drop down menu.
These Threads are Nylon and the single colour threads are non colour fast, so they will darken when resin is applied. If you want to maintain the colour of the thread you will need a colour preserver, but we prefer to allow the threads to darken as the colour preserver doesn't allow the resin to absorb into the thread properly.
The multi-coloured threads are colour fast so they don't change when resin is applied.

I needed to purchase some winding thread to do a repair - after putting the order in Alan contacted me to provide some additional details and advice on how the thread would look after the application of resin, just to make sure it was going to match the requirement (which it did). I have built three rods using blanks and accessories from Blokes Blanks and in each case I have found Alan's insight and help second to none, I will definitely be returning with more orders in the future.
I have used this thread in a couple of colours and find it really nice to lay down and packs well. The thread looks good both with and without the colour preserver but does darken when not used. The Ruby Red on the Black Carbon looks awesome with a bit of preserver on it.
