Here, Mick guides you through the basics of making a rod building station. While it is feasible to build a rod by hand for a one-time project, however, utilising a dedicated building station can be extremely helpful and enhance your efficiency.
Building a Fly Rod Part 2 - Fitting the Grip and Reel Seat
In this chapter, Mick takes you step by step, how to affix the grip and reel seat to the butt end of your fly rod. This is one way to can build the grip when a fighting butt isn't called for. I explain how to build the grips with a fighting butt in a later video.
