Rede River Long Haul Mk2 Floating Fly Line - Designed in the UK
Based on our extremely popular Long Haul fly line, the Long Haul Mk2 has been upgraded.....in every way.
It is still very easy to cast. But now it is even better to fish with and is even more durable.
We have redesigned the head, the head lenghts now vary from 30ft to 40ft but the new line retains the same dynamics as the old line, all the weight you get from a typical fly line has been condensed into a shorter more manageable head that will quickly load your rod. This also means you only need a short back cast to get the most from it, which is also helpful where there is restricted space.

We would recommend using the line weight suggested on your rod when buying this line. So if your rod is a 7wt, we recommend using a 7wt line.
Please note, for various reasons, there are no welded loops on our lines any longer, they are now supplied with mini braided loops.

I have used the Long Haul Mk2 WF7 Floating & the B-LINE Long Haul Mk2 WF7 Floating line plus the Long Haul MK2 WF7 Intermediate for the past 2years. Fantastic lines.They are still smooth and supple & no cracking, dont seem to be affected to badly by memory.A few casts and pig tails gone.They work perfectly in all weathers.I think there just as good now as they were out of the box new.Clean and store them correctly.You wont have any problems.This is why im back today to buy the 4ft sink tip.
Of the dozens of fly lines I have bought over 50 years of fly fishing this Rede River Long Haul is up there with the very best, better in my opinion than some costing many times more, the profile and short head length suits me perfectly and the suppleness is very impressive, lying perfectly straight and not tangling up in the line tray as so many do. My first Rede River Line but definitely not the last!
This is my fourth Rede River fly line in weights 6 & 7 they all perform excellently in all temperatures, lay (almost) dead straight out of the box. They cast smoothly, for the price I would say they cannot be beaten.
First introduced to this line by a friend at our fishing club who gave me a casting lesson using it.Couldnt wait to get one and use it.Not at all dissopointed afirst class line at a very good price that takes an average cast ability to surprising levels.
Bought the new floating line. As expected works straight out of the box. Great to cast and straight on the water. Easy to order and delivered within three days!
I thought I’d wait awhile before posting a review. First time out the line was brilliant, as described flew out of the rod, straight as a die, for me a good distance. I built my #6 Bloke rod Jan 2021 and the combination is stunning. A month later, at least 30 hard fighting bows and a couple of browns, the line is performing just as it was at the start. The value is outstanding. I will be buying again……
Used the long haul lines for a few years now from 5 weights to 8 weights and they all work really well, they load a fast action rod easily and shoot the whole line. The mark 1 was a fantastic line it really did fly but was vulnerable to wear and tear the improvements made to the mark 2 have made it more durable without losing any of the performance. I would highly recommend.
I would like to leave a stellar review but my order got lost in shipping. This line comes highly rated by YouTuber Shaun Fishes which is why I ordered it. I'm still hopeful that USPS will find the package and I'll get to try it out before the snow flies in Colorado.
Honestly the 2nd generation fly line is not as good as the 1st but it’s really bloody good
