B-Line by Rede River. Designed in the UK.
The Long Haul is a short head fly line which was the first line we ever developed, it's had many years of success and has a great following across the globe.
This Mk2 version has been upgraded in key areas, it is still very easy to cast. But now it is even better to fish with and is even more durable.
Head lengths range from 30ft to 40ft, this means that all the weight you get from a typical fly line has been condensed into a shorter more manageable head that will quickly load your rod. This also means you only need a short back cast to get the most from it, which is also helpful where there is restricted space and when needed, 2 or 3 false casts will see the full line out on the water.
These exceptional fly lines with unique tapers and profiles have been designed for the ultimate castability at short or long range and superb bite detection.
The contrasting colours of the B-Line means greater visibility both on and off the water. These lines are the ultimate for bite detection in any conditions. Too sunny to see the tip of your fly line? No problem. These lines alternate between Pale Yellow and Black every 600mm (2ft) down the entire length of the line. The black becomes hard to see against the water meaning that the yellow sections stand out and any movement is transferred down the entire line.
So with a full 30 yard line out on the water, you can literally see what is happening with the tip of your fly line, just 10 feet away. It's a wonderful way to fish static buzzers and nymphs without a bung.
Not only that but you can also track this line easier through the air and demonstrate what difference line speed makes to your loop control, which is a great asset to instructors and students alike.

We would recommend using the line weight suggested on your rod when buying this line. So if your rod is a 7wt, we recommend using a 7wt line.
Please note, for various reasons, there are no welded loops on our lines any longer, they are now supplied with mini braided loops.

Flies out the rod presentation is flawless.
I am in the process of switching my floating lines to these and wanting to try the intermediate.
Firstly delivery was very prompt 👍 Had a bit of an issue with the first 1/2 meter sinking, after speaking to Alan and getting advice to clean the line. It now works really well and floats very well. Casts like a dream and really stands out on the water surface. You can really see any slight movement in the line helping with the slightest bites. So my advice is the same as Alan's, clean line before using and you will not be disappointed.
Happy angler 😁
I have been fly fishing for 10 months. Improving the length and accuracy of my casting has been an aim during that time!
At around £30 this line seemed worth a punt!
The line is soft, doesn't carry any significant amount of 'memory' and its weighting does indeed make a noticeable difference to my casting, I can still mess it up but I am casting further and better than before.
I will be keen to know how long the line will last but am already thinking about a sinking option for next winter!
I didn't want to spend a fortune on a line because in the past, whether I got a £10 cheapie from China or a £50 well known brand, I was still getting coil memory, Saw a couple of favourable reviews
on YouTube so I decided to try this line. Very pleased, casts out nicely and no coils to be seen. I've been fishing for 60 odd years and am not the best but I have no reservations in recommending this line
Cracking line, casts beautifully, is as straight as a die and the striped markings is fab for spotting subtle takes on buzzers, drys and bugs.
Throws out a bung nicely if you are partial also.
So good I bought a 6#
If it seasons well then I think they have cracked the magic formula 10/10 so far
Excellent line and service - when I need another line I will be back
Saw this line on YouTube, and decided to give it a try. Very rapid and efficient delivery. Loaded the line on the reel and took it for a trial cast the following day.
Overcast day, but the different contrasting colours on the line ensured that it is highly visible. From the first cast it went out straight as a die, and sits very high on the water.
Excellent line - really pleased with it, and thoroughly recommended.
Superbly quick delivery - thanks very much.
Recommend this company.
Great line, flies out of the rings. The indicator aspect is superb, you see every twitch.
I have a few in different weights, this was a replacement for a year old long haul indicator 6# line that had all cracked and peeled which was disappointing as i would have thought it would have lasted a lot longer than that, They are reasonably priced, so overall happy.
I replaced a well known and expensive brand of line with this B Line and was not disappointed.
It has a very smooth finish and casts exceptionally well. The weight distribution allows a shorter back cast which lets me cast a longer line in tight spots. I would strongly recommend this line for any level of casting ability.
Bought from Bloke Rods for competitive price, used this line for first time at Harelaw, casts well and striped sections along line defos make it easy to spot takes whether on the bung or fishing buzzers etc
