Kids are back to School and we're getting back to "normal"
Well the kids are off to School every day now so we're getting back on track and things are getting back to normal-ish. We're coming to the best part of the season, for me, on the Tyne for Salmon, so there will be days where we're unavailable, but we'll deal with any business as soon as we can on returning to the office.
New Lines - Our New Switch/Spey lines are on their way right now.

Upcoming Notices
Our new Switch/Spey lines had a delay coming to us, but they are finally on their way to us, we're expecting them to land W/C 14/07/2026. The new lines feature an integrated running line into a short Skagit/Scandi style head and also include 4 interchangeable tips, floating, intermediate, slow sink & fast sink.
Health issues;
Sadly we are cutting back our workload due to health reasons, Alan has been diagnosed with heart failure, therefore has had to re-evaluate life and work choices, so no more later nights until 4/5am which will have a knock on effect on the work that can be undertaken. Effective immediately we will be taking on no more custom builds, we can have these done for you via a 3rd party at cost price to you, or you can take a look at our recommended rod builders page.
The rest of the business, ie Rods, blanks, fittings, lines, sales, advice etc will remain the same for the time being, though we may cut back certain items, but it won't affect the core of the business.
On the back of this news, sad though it is, it's possible we would consider sensible offers for the rods/blanks side of the business and split it back into Rede River and Bloke Rods and two separate businesses.
Our reels are slowly under construction now, though as expected we are experiencing some teething problems along the way.
Our very popular Trebuchet Spey rods will be getting an expansion soon.
New products are constantly being added to the website so please keep an eye out for them and please subscribe to our emails, we won't bombard you with them, but we will keep you up to date with the on-goings of the company and new products.
